This ones a lovely rich pink color on pure Tussar base and the Shibori patterns vary from a blooming flower in the body to a geometric border and lots of pattern play on the pallu! Comes with a matching solid blouse piece in pure Tussar silk with Shibori border that signs off the signature look!

Description

Shibori is a Japanese manual resist dyeing technique, which produces patterns on fabric. In Japan, the earliest known example of cloth dyed with a shibori technique dates from the 8th century

Nui shibori includes stitched shibori. A simple running stitch is used on the cloth then pulled tight to gather the cloth. The thread must be pulled very tight to work, and a wooden dowel must often be used to pull it tight enough. Each thread is secured by knotting before being dyed. This technique allows for greater control of the pattern and greater variety of pattern, but it is much more time consuming.
